Vicky and Kevin’s wedding took place in August, on the hottest day of the year, across the beautiful grounds of Syrencot. From the start, the day felt very relaxed and thoughtfully organised, with space for emotion, laughter and celebrations.
Vicky got ready in the Billiard Room, Syrencot’s perfect light-filled bridal preparation room, with a large skylight and tall windows softening the summer sun. The civil ceremony followed in the Glasshouse, where the atmosphere built quietly before giving way to some very emotional moments, made even more personal by their beautiful husky acting as ring bearer.
After the ceremony, family photographs took place in the shade behind the main house, before the celebrations moved in the Farmshed. Speeches brought plenty of laughter, and as the day eased into evening, golden hour gave space for relaxed couple portraits in the Walled Garden before the energy lifted and the dance floor filled.
It was especially meaningful to photograph another wedding for Kevin’s family, having covered his brother Matt’s wedding the year before. Seeing familiar faces again, and meeting the family’s newest addition, made the day feel even more personal.
This wedding was photographed using my La Dolce Vita option, with twelve hours of coverage to follow the full shape of the day. A second photographer joined for groom preparation and coverage through to the ceremony.
