Molly and Ali travelled from Amsterdam for their wedding at the Winchester Royal Hotel, and the day carried a very personal mix of people, places and traditions from the beginning. During the ceremony, Ali’s family joined live on screen from abroad, present throughout the vows and able to witness the moment alongside everyone in the room. It brought a strong sense of connection to the ceremony, even across the distance.
Later in the day, Molly’s family made space for Iranian wedding traditions as part of the celebration. Alongside the speeches, drinks and cake, there was also a dedicated moment that reflected Ali’s background and gave the day another layer of meaning. It felt natural within the flow of the wedding, personal rather than formal, and fully part of who they are together.
The atmosphere across the whole day was expressive, relaxed and completely their own. The guests brought a strong creative energy, with friends travelling from the Netherlands and other parts of Europe, and everything felt shaped by individuality rather than tradition. The clothes, the people, the details and Molly’s dress all added to that feeling of a wedding built around freedom, personality and connection.
Coverage started with preparations and continued through the first dance, with an extra hour added to La Moderna to give the day more space. This wedding was photographed at the Winchester Royal Hotel, where I am also a preferred supplier.
Below is a selection of images that tell the story of the day.
