Anna and Alex’s intimate family wedding in Winchester began with a relaxed civil ceremony at Winchester Registry Office, set within the 19th-century buildings of Castle Hill in the historic city centre. From there, we spent time together through the city, passing by the Cathedral before reaching the family garden for the celebration..
It was an August wedding with soft light, warm air and just enough sun to give the afternoon a gentle brightness. Anna wore a soft mauve-lilac satin dress, which suited the relaxed and slightly alternative feel of the ceremony.
After the ceremony, we spent a little time walking through Winchester, passing through the town centre and by the cathedral before heading to the family garden for the celebration. The coverage stayed close to the people around them, the family moments, and the feeling of a wedding that was intimate, personal and completely their own.
This was the first part of Anna and Alex’s wedding story, with their full wedding celebration taking place the following week.
Anna and Alex selected Le Essenze, choosing the 3 hour coverage option for their civil ceremony at Winchester Registry Office, a relaxed walk through the city centre, and the start of their family garden celebration.
Below is a selection of images that tell the story of the day.
