Anna and Alex chose to celebrate in a way that felt entirely their own. A relaxed, bohemian gathering on Alex’s family farm, set among open fields and two marquees filled with the people closest to them.
They had already married the weekend before at Winchester Register Office with close family. This day was about sharing the celebration more widely. The ceremony was led in the first marquee, and the emotion surfaced immediately. Anna reached for a tissue, Alex had tears in his eyes, and their vows carried through the space.
After the ceremony, the day opened up. Guests settled wherever they felt comfortable, conversations flowed easily and children played in the field. Food and drink came from a mix of vans, with pizza, drinks and a coffee van keeping everyone going as the afternoon drifted into evening.
As the light softened, speeches gave way to dancing, the cake was cut and the celebration carried on late into the night. When the Northern Lights appeared across the sky, it felt like a fitting close to a weekend that already held a lot of meaning.
