Connie and Sam’s Weymouth wedding took place in November, with their ceremony at St Andrew’s Church in Preston. During the summer we photographed their pre wedding session on the beach, and they used some of those images in their wedding programme.
The morning started in a cosy cottage where Connie got ready with her twin sisters and her bridesmaids, in a happy and relaxed atmosphere. Family and friends gathered for their Weymouth wedding, some travelling from as far as Hong Kong. Connie and Sam walked out of the church into a confetti welcome as the bells rang.
The celebrations then moved to a countryside venue overlooking meadows and hills. The early November weather was kind, with soft sun and light cloud, making it comfortable to spend time outside. A small stream nearby was a natural spot for some relaxed couple and bridal party portraits while guests gathered for drinks. Halloween decorations from the night before were still in place around the drinks area, adding a slightly playful detail to that part of the day.
As the evening began, guests gathered for speeches, bringing emotion and laughter around the tables. Toasts followed, along with the cake cutting, before Connie and Sam opened the dance floor with their first dance. Later in the evening everyone stepped outside for sparklers, closing the celebrations.
This wedding was photographed under La Moderna package, eight hours of coverage following the day from preparations through to the evening celebration, with an extra 2hrs pre-wedding session in West Bay, Dorset.
Below is a selection of images that tell the story of the day, plus a few snippets from the pre-wedding session.
