Chiara and Caius’ wedding took place in the countryside near Ashdown Forest, in East Sussex, surrounded by close family and friends. During the hottest weekend of May.
The ceremony and the celebration were held at Caius’ family home, in a beautiful garden setting with two ponds, open spaces, and the relaxed atmosphere that shaped the whole day.
The guests travelled from Belgium, Austria, Italy and Spain, giving the day a very personal and international atmosphere. Chiara’s best friend led the ceremony, this brought a strong emotional connection to it. A harp player accompanied the ceremony and the afternoon, bringing a delicate touch to atmosphere.
My focus naturally stayed on people, conversations, emotions and the connections between families and friends. Capturing moments of laughter, embraces, and a few emotional speeches with everyone gathered together in the garden shade.
The final gallery includes videoclips and drone footage to help preserve the atmosphere of the setting and important moments the day. I delivered 30 sneak peeks on the same evening, followed by the final gallery a few days later.
Chiara and Caius chose the Le Essenze collection with 3 hours of coverage, the perfect coverage for an intimate wedding – centred around the ceremony, portraits, drinks and the beginning of the celebrations.
Below is a selection of images that tell the story of the day.
