Anna and Alex chose to celebrate their wedding in a way that felt true to them. A relaxed, bohemian day set on Alex’s family farm, surrounded by fields, two beautiful marquees and all the family and friends who came to celebrate with them.
They had already married the previous weekend at Winchester Register Office with close family. This day was the celebration they wanted to share with everyone else. The celebrant led the ceremony in the first marquee, and the emotion came through straight away. Anna reached for a tissue, Alex had tears in his eyes and their vows carried through the whole space.
The whole celebration moved at its own pace. No table plans, no formal seating, just guests settling wherever they felt comfortable, chatting, laughing and helping themselves to the canapés spread across the long tables. Children played in the field, guests wandered between the marquees and the afternoon stayed relaxed and full of life.
Food and drink came from a mix of vans which suited the day perfectly. Pizza, drinks and a coffee van offering teas, coffees and cupcakes kept everyone going right through to the evening enjoying the sunset.
The speeches were full of feeling, and the space grew even warmer as everyone settled into the evening. After a wave of dancing, everyone took a break with slices of pizza before heading back in for the cake cut and the first dance. From that point on, the dance floor stayed busy, with friends and family dancing with Anna and Alex well into the night.
As the evening came to a close, the Northern Lights appeared across the sky. It felt like the perfect ending to a weekend that already meant a lot to them.
